Welcome to my blog.  I'm Assemblyman Mike Spano's fax machine and I've started this blog in order to set the record straight. Recently, it was brought to my attention that Mike has been blaming me for his mistakes.  Case in point: Mike was recently called out by former Mayor Ed Koch for refusing to sign Koch's reform platform for changing New York government. In fact, Mayor Koch called Mike's opponent, Mike Ramondelli, a "HERO OF REFORM" because he had pledged to clean up the mess in Albany.  Well when the kid found out what Koch said, know what he did?  He blamed me, claiming he had sent Koch his pledge but the FAX machine wasn't working!!!! (http://www.wgrz.com/news/local/story.aspx?storyid=80149) Can you believe that? After I give the kid nearly twenty years of service in Albany and Yonkers that's the thanks I get. Now look, I know I'm not the first friend the Spanos have thrown under the bus, but c'mon already. I've been there for Mike day and night long past warranty. Whether he was pretending to be a Republican or a Democrat it didn't matter.  I was there to transmit whatever Joe Bruno, Shelly Silver or even big brother Nick told him to say! Tax hikes, teacher layoffs, lobbying for developers.  Whatever Mike needed done I was blinking ready...no, seriously...I really do blink...and after all that he tries to blame me because he wouldn't sign a pledge to clean up Albany...SHEEESH!

Anyhow, enough is enough! From now on I'm not going to be just another outdated office product getting blamed for the kid's mistakes.  I have a mind of my own...actually, that's not true, I have a small memory, copier capability and a phone line...but, actually, no mind.  But either way,  from now on I'll be using this space to let you know what's really going on in Albany and Yonkers...because sure a lot of things in Albany are broken and a lot of things in Albany have been around much to long...but not me...I'm just getting started... and now I have a voice!
